Current Structure

F J Williams Builders Henley Ltd is the parent company and together with wholly owned subsidiary S Paddick & Sons operate as main contractors on a wide variety of construction projects, ranging from local small works and maintenance, small to medium sized contracts and larger projects of up to around £ 1.5 million in value. Our annual turnover is around £ 3 million although we recently we completed the construction of a new house with a contract value of £ 2.85 million which increased our turnover to circa £ 4 million. F J Williams Builders Henley Ltd undertakes a full range of contracts including new build, refurbishment, conversion, extension and alterations together with more specialist projects such as underpinning and structural repairs. Quality hardwood and softwood joinery is manufactured in our own shop and can be supplied only or supplied and fixed. We work for private clients as well as commercial concerns and are used to operating in areas where special consideration and care is required such as schools, universities, churches, listed buildings and buildings of historical interest. We employ two full time Contracts Managers, based at our Henley office, who control the work we carry out. Larger projects will have a full time foremen or working foreman permanently based on site and responsible for the project on a day to day basis. We have an experienced workforce and currently employ in the order of 30 operatives on a permanent basis. We work with specialist subcontractors who usually undertake electrical work, heating and plumbing, roof tiling / slating, flat roof coverings, painting and decorating, wall and floor tiling, carpets and floor finishes etc. Wherever possible we aim to use subcontractors that have previously worked for us and whose workmanship is up to the high standards we expect. The three directors of the company are also shareholders and all are actively involved in the company and head divisions or departments. Robert Moppett, the Joinery Director, manages the Joiners Shop, Duncan Bright, the Construction Director, has a hands-on Surveying role, and Alan Kingstone, the Managing Director, has responsibility for the estimating for the company. We are members of the National Federation of Builders and are NHBC Registered.
