Company History |
| The company was formed in 1959 by Frank Williams who initially carried out carpentry and joinery works.
In the early 1960's land in Farm Road, Henley was purchased upon which our joinery shop was built. With the company beginning to operate as a main contractor additional property was bought in Farm Road to house our offices and provide us with a builder's yard.
During the late 1970's the well established Sonning based contractor S. Paddick and Sons Ltd was acquired with each company operating from their own separate offices until the mid 1980's when the Henley office was enlarged to accommodate the staff of both companies. The S Paddick & Sons name is now a trading division of F J . Williams Builders Henley Ltd.
The 1990's saw a move to Sonning Common, upon Frank's acquisition of Kidby's Yard, which allowed the Henley on Thames offices to be converted back to housing and the yard developed. In 1999 we moved back to Henley into new offices situated in our old yard and accessed off Newtown Road.
In April 2000 Frank Williams retired and the three current directors, who between them now have over 40 years service, bought the Company and are carrying on the business in much the same vein as Frank Williams had done. We have not only retained our long standing clients but expanded our Architect and client base mainly by repeat orders and recommendations.
